Week 2, Term 2 Weekly Reflection

This has been  a exiting week as we have had book week this week. We have been doing Tech, Maths, Writing, Literacy, Topic & Reading.


Book Week

This week starting at..

Monday - On Monday Mrs Costello was giving away Pre-Loved books to keep to all our grey main students to read and enjoy.

Tuesday - On Tuesday we did buddy reading with another class we did buddy reading with room 9/ P3.

Wednesday - On Wednesday It was wacky Wednesday which means that you come to school wacky in silly clothes and wacky hair.

Thursday - We Contributed in Team A/ Team B's Logo quiz, Who am I Teacher guess.

Friday - On Friday you dressed as your favorite book character and go to school and you go up on stage as a class and tell the school who you are.

Maths

For maths we have been doing 4 maths buddy tasks and a maths sheet for 1 day a week expect Friday and then you go up to the teacher and show her your work.

Tech

For tech I have been working with plastic its not that fun because the teacher I dont like but otherwise it is good because it is fun.


Reading

This week I have started reading this book I have almost finished it I am on page: 362
out of 395. It is a really good book.

Writing

We have in writing started a report on  animal we really know a lot about and I picked
dogs because i have 2 of them myself.

Topic

On topic we have started to learn on Vincent van gogh about his art and how much they
sell for millons.

Week 9 Reflection

This Week we have been doing a lot including,

Reading, Maths, Literacy and a Secret

For reading I have been reading White Lie, Black Dare It was a really good book it is about where her mum gets cancer and she has to go to a different school because she could not afford that school anymore and then she gets into a gang and she has to do a dare that is really dangerous and could end bad. It is a really good book and I highly Recommend it.

For Literacy we have been working on Anzac that is a really fun topic still because it is something I wouldn't really search up on if we did not do it in school. Anzac is a really big thing in grey mouth because all of the NZ soldiers died on that day serving our Land. Soldiers have a lot of bravery for serving our Country because not many people do that

For maths we have been doing a lot of maths including Maths Maintenance (Basic facts but different questions) Word Problems and basic facts with a little bit of maths buddy doing Term 1 Week 9 or whatever week it is. It is a really fun thing to do to learn more stuff. But more impotent in maths i learned circumference of a circle and we did a little more work with the teacher on short division and turning the reminder into a decimal.

The Mystery was making cupcakes for the family fiesta and I made rainbow ones that look OK but the rain bow strips do not stay up they just always fall down. But there are some really cool designs that my class have done. It was really cool and I am going to try to bid on some people cupcakes because they look awesome. Here is a sample

Curious cove camp

CANOES

Sprinting, smiling and laughing We sprint to the Cargo Container wait for Teachers and Adults to open the container. We grab the canoes, paddles and life jackets. Pull them to the Sparking blue water Jump into the canoes and off you go. The waves bumping up and down. The all sorted fish under me in the water The skates too. I went over a skate and i got over it. It  then quickly dashed away.It was the size of a dinner plate and the tail was long as a elephants trunk It was fat at the top Then it went so skinny the tail going down the tail!!! Water Rocking you side to side and I got tipped over into the salty water and you see all the fish swimming near you.
