Week 1 Term 2: Weekly Reflection

This Week we have been doing a lot of stuff for the first week.


We made some Anzac biscuits for Anzac day and we all were in groups and we made as many as the mixture will make. My group made 23, you got to eat 2 and the rest you gave to other people. We gave it to adults around the school.


We have also started to read a school journal and write question that our teachers decided to write. So what you do is you read a story in the book and you then write in your book or you can do it on your Chromebook. You write the question's and then you well answer them.

For Numeracy we have been doing comprehensive tasks that is maths but 40 question in maths buddy to put some people in new groups. From these assessment tasks I found that I need to focus on learning more about time.

For topic/art we have been doing Vincent van gogh we are learning about his art and how he was a very famous person when he died his art sold for a lot more when he died.

Week 9 Reflection

This Week we have been doing a lot including,

Reading, Maths, Literacy and a Secret

For reading I have been reading White Lie, Black Dare It was a really good book it is about where her mum gets cancer and she has to go to a different school because she could not afford that school anymore and then she gets into a gang and she has to do a dare that is really dangerous and could end bad. It is a really good book and I highly Recommend it.

For Literacy we have been working on Anzac that is a really fun topic still because it is something I wouldn't really search up on if we did not do it in school. Anzac is a really big thing in grey mouth because all of the NZ soldiers died on that day serving our Land. Soldiers have a lot of bravery for serving our Country because not many people do that

For maths we have been doing a lot of maths including Maths Maintenance (Basic facts but different questions) Word Problems and basic facts with a little bit of maths buddy doing Term 1 Week 9 or whatever week it is. It is a really fun thing to do to learn more stuff. But more impotent in maths i learned circumference of a circle and we did a little more work with the teacher on short division and turning the reminder into a decimal.

The Mystery was making cupcakes for the family fiesta and I made rainbow ones that look OK but the rain bow strips do not stay up they just always fall down. But there are some really cool designs that my class have done. It was really cool and I am going to try to bid on some people cupcakes because they look awesome. Here is a sample

Reflections WK 8

This Week,

We have done Maths,Literacy,Art and P.E.

For Maths we have been doing Maths Maintenance that is a lot of question like a basic facts sheet but harder questions. Word problems are well word problems. We do maths buddy and we do term 1 set whatever week it is. We have also been going to the teacher as a group and i have been learning short division and turn the reminder into a decimal. We also do whole class teaching and that has been the best with learning all different types of stuff that I haven't learned before.


For Literacy we have been doing Strongmen mine and that was fun because I learned a whole lot of things I have not learned before. Also when we finished the Strongmen mine we got to start on world war one also known as Anzac day and that has been a really fun topic to research about because again it is something I wouldn't really be interested in but it was actually awesome thing to find stuff about.


For art I have finished my first piece and almost finished my second. we have been doing our names on one and a other piece is a piece of little line and you just blend them with pastels. It has been a fun 8 weeks doing art with my class.
